Well, work has kept me busy for the last few weeks and it's not over yet. The company I work for was just sold to a major corporation and converting everything will take some time, and take me away from my writing (as you can tell.)
I am taking a break from work this weekend though, since I have signed up for a writing contest through writersweekly.com. I'm kinda nervious about it since I only have 24 hours to do the entire contest.
The way it works: At 12 noon they email a subject and word count. You have 24 hours to write a short story with that topic and submit it via email to them no later than 12 noon the following day.
Of course, I have gotten no sleep yesterday and will get little or none today with the contest going on. I will not be able to post my story that I submit here untill after the winners are announced (hopfully, I will just link my story from their site.)
Wish me luck, and I will post again after I've got it completed.
This a place for me to share my stories with others. I write in a variety of genre, but mainly horror/suspence, with a bit of fantasy mixed in. After reading one of the stories below, please leave a comment and let me know you dropped by. So, pull up a chair, refill that coffee, and dive right in. You never know where a story will take you. Keep checking back, you just never know what you might find...
Below are links to some of my short stories. Be sure to join my followers so you can stay updated on the site. The stories will occasionally change.

It's been awhile...
Ok, it's been awhile since I have posted anything on the site. I am sorry it has taken me so long to get back to this, but as many know I work a full time job and take care of my mother as well as trying to find time to do some writing.
One of the projects that I have coming up this month is the 24 hour writing contest on Jan. 26th. I'm looking forward to participating in this contest. It is limited to only 500 contestants. They email you the "subject" at 12 noon and you have exactly 24 hours to write a complete short story to their word length and get it submitted. The contest rules are pretty indepth, but not as bad as I was expecting.
My school work is almost complete. I am finally on lesson 10 (as soon as I get number 9 back.) There are a total of 12 lessons in the course I am taking. I'm looking forward to getting it all completed so I can concentrate on writing more for myself than having to concentrate on what my instructor wants. Especially since I like to switch genre a lot.
This year, one of my resoulutions is to start submitting things for publication with magazines. I hope everyone will cross their fingers for me. I will be submitting stories to Weired Tales and Fantasy & Fiction magazines.
I will keep everyone posted on my progress and start adding more and more stuff to the site.
